Funk'n after Fifty: Disgestive Issues

Yep, it's true, every last thing my mom told me about Sex, Lies, and Life after Forty,

Sex, sure enough if you do it once you'll do it again, the good the bad and the ugly.

Lies, ummm yeaha you'll definitely have to follow up the first with a multitude more just to cover the first one.

For me life after forty has for sure had it's roller coaster rides. Children, (anyone under 30) do consider that your digestive system is not made of metal, try and think at least 5 times what you expect it to work with, my parents and fore parents have said, " chile i been eating this way awl my life and um still here", but here's the question, yes, u r still here but what's happening on your insides?

We are not Lots wife, so it's ok to look back. Look back for your future health, look back at your bathroom deposits, like fashion, Colors Matter.

I'm no doctor nor do I offer any medical advice, I'm just telling you what I "found" about me and decided to share with you.

After my digestive issues surfaced, I had to change my eating habits to possibly what they should have been all my life, emphasis on "should have" no one knows for sure what is perfect but, what I know for sure is that since I've changed what I consume I no longer see unusual colors where I make my deposits, my energy level is Awesome and my skin is more vibrant that I can remember.

I find that when I eat what I call "Sun foods" ie: fruit and vegetables I feel more energetic, but when I eat "face" foods, (foods that do as i do) I don't feel the same energy as the fore mentioned foods.

Foods that do as I do: eat chew and potty, (now I do not challenge anyone that eats meat), eat as you please because I do, I'm just saying, focus on how you feel after you eat whatever it is that you eat, and remember always check the du.

To be continued... or not

I Wish You The Happiest Newest Year Ever!

Ok so Christmas came and within 24 hours all the festivities were over I had hung only one ornament on my overly large bare tree branch, which proves that if I do absolutely nothing the day will come and go anyway.
As for the year that preceded, I'll sum it up with a few bitties of where I've been, What I discovered, and What I funk'd around with.

My new Obsession.

Que Sera Sera

When I was a little girl, I didn't ask my mother what I would be because, in the distance coming from my sisters room I heard the lyrics, "You can be what you wanna be on cloud nine", I often wondered where this cloud nine place was and how could I get there when I couldn't fly.

As I approached adolescence My Mom stressed that my only responsibilities were to be a kid.  She owned a little vintage clothing shop and on Saturday's I'd go there and spend every hour styling complete outfits and pretending I had someplace special to go to wear them.

Yep, by age 13 I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and one Thursday evening, while my mom busied herself with friends, her black and white checkered kitchen curtains seemed just the right print for my Friday fashion moment, (I loved the black and red rooster boarder), and my handmade willow bracelet was the perfect accessory.

As I found my way through the teenage years I learned to incorporate my love of all things unique with my love of fabrics, vintage clothing and found objects, my goal was to make clothing that blended the styles I fell in love with while watching old movies and reading novels, especially the ones that were set in Paris and England.  Surely in my future I would dress like those ladies but some styles would need to refined a bit for a 20th Century lifestyle.

Adulthood afforded me the opportunity to design clothing inspired by the 50's back to 18th Century, and even before then.  As I look back now, I realize that none of those ladies looked like me, but as a child I wasn't taught to notice the difference, so I only saw what interested me, the clothing, the tea sets, the old cottons, silks, laces and the offerings from Mother Nature.  I wanted to see in real life, what was written as fiction.

My passion for big skirts and the grandeur of the whole girl thing is unrelenting, uninhibited and at times, down right excessive and when incorporated with any element of nature, I'm Happy:).

I'm often referred to as eclectic and sometimes a little off the beaten path but like the countless other creatives just like myself I'll continue my travels on my Sofistafunky little cloud 9.

side note: If you're very quiet you can hear the atmostphere sing:)
